CASE STUDY
Elevate Design Space — Impact and Goal Counter
A flexible visual counter for goals, progress, and measurable impact.
The Elevate Design Space Impact and Goal Counter is a WordPress plugin designed to help websites communicate progress toward meaningful goals.
Instead of presenting visitors with a static number, the plugin turns progress into a visual experience that can be used for campaigns, organizations, communities, businesses, fundraising initiatives, or personal projects.
The Challenge
Organizations often have important numbers they want visitors to notice, but standard text counters provide very little context.
I wanted to create a tool that could communicate not only where a project currently stands, but also where it is trying to go.
The Solution
I designed a customizable goal counter that allows website owners to present current progress alongside a larger target.
The experience was designed to make progress easy to understand at a glance while remaining flexible enough to work across different types of websites and goals.
Product Design Focus
The core UX challenge was transforming raw numbers into something visitors could understand immediately.
Rather than simply showing a statistic, the counter provides context by connecting current progress to a defined destination. This makes the information more meaningful and gives users a clearer sense of momentum.
Building a Reusable Product
The plugin was designed as a reusable WordPress component rather than a feature tied to a single website.
I developed the plugin architecture, designed the interface, created customization controls, tested the front-end experience, prepared it for WordPress standards, and submitted it to the WordPress Plugin Directory.
The plugin was approved for public distribution through WordPress.org.
