I recently added five new pieces to my Colorwave Portraits series, continuing my exploration of movement, balance, and emotional presence through simplified form and color.
This series has always been about capturing a moment rather than a narrative allowing shape, posture, and motion to speak for themselves. Each of these new works leans into that idea, using bold silhouettes and layered geometry to express energy in different states: rest, momentum, and intention.
One piece in particular, Balanced Momentum, stands out to me. The figure holds a difficult position, balanced through motion rather than stillness. There’s a sense that the energy moving through the body is what keeps everything aligned, not force or control, but momentum and awareness working together.
Together, these additions push Colorwave Portraits forward while staying true to its core: expressive figures, rhythmic forms, and color used as emotion rather than decoration. I’m excited to keep building this series and seeing where motion takes it next.
