Shadow Circus Festival – Horror Event Poster Design

For this project, I wanted to create a bold and cinematic poster that promotes a fictional Halloween music festival inside an old circus tent. I leaned into a dark and mysterious aesthetic, using dramatic lighting, foggy atmosphere, and horror-themed details to bring the event concept to life.

The main goal was to convince the viewer that this could be a real festival, from the venue name and date to a complete lineup of fictional bands and event information. I designed the typography to feel authentic to a circus setting, while still looking sharp and easy to read. The warm string lights and red striped tent add contrast against the eerie mood, helping the text and key elements stand out.

I also focused on composition to create a strong visual hierarchy: title first, then band names, then event details. The clown character adds intimidation and establishes the theme instantly, acting like the festival’s unofficial “mascot.” Shadows and fog help blend all the elements together so the scene feels cohesive.

Overall, this poster was a fun chance to explore horror design, event branding, and layered composition — taking an imaginative idea and presenting it like a real promotional piece for a live show.
